BSides Miami 2018 Inaugural Conference
For years (4+) I have wanted to bring BSIdes to Miami. I had a long conversation with Jack Daniel regarding the process & requirements for doing so. After starting a new job and involving myself in other charitable organizations, I let it get to the backburner. Some other folks apparently had a similar idea and we got together.
This year, we got off to a rocky start, but then again, the original BSides (I was not a part of it) also did. This year we had a lot of crypto and blockchain. We had a bunch of great speakers and it was amazing to hear from them and learn.
It is great to be a founder of BSides Miami and I am planning to work extremely hard in the coming years to ensure we make subsequent BSides Cons better than the one before. I look forward to working with the board of BSides Miami in the coming months.
I am hoping to connect with other board/founders of other BSides to ensure I learn from their mistakes and stand on the shoulders of those that have succeeded before me.
