macGREP, a grep building app for your macOS

I have been playing with all forms of grep and decided to create an app that will assist in building your grep queries.

This is the main screen where you can load sample code to match with your regex and the recipes for the grep command.

Each grep command has a info bubble explaining its function

The regex builder portion has both tokens and recipes.  Tokens allow you to build you own regex queries and the recipes are pre-defined recipes that include IP address, wildcard, IP and port, etc.

Here you have the Tokens screen.

And based on the drop down, you have Networking, General, and Code & Logs

Networking

General

Code and Logs

You can save the query for later by choosing Save.  You can clearly see your list on the left side of the app.

You can also have the output save, append, show and save, show and append.

Once you build the query, you can Copy Command

You can load the sample text by pasting, loading from different formats of files.

If you have any suggestions, please DM me.  Should be in the macStore by end of October or November.
