Adding Sites to Your Safari Top Site Page

So I started using another MacBook while my normal work horse is getting the keyboard replaced…. again.  But I was used to my Top Sites page that would open when I opened Safari.  Normally I tend to have a bunch of browsers on my machine and I use them for different things.  For standard, personal browsing I use Safari, for Nefarious’ish stuff I use Tor, for anonymous stuff like searching for tea cups for my wife, I use Brave (no tracking) or Opera, Customer facing where I connect to my lab and other gear or sites I use Firefox, and finally, if the site requires Flash, I use Chrome.

So when it comes to Safari, I am used to seeing my most used websites, or what they like to call  Top Sites.  I struggled finding where I needed to go to add additional sites to the Top Sites section.

Here we go.

As we can see in the screenshot, there is only 3 sites in my Top Sites where I would like to have 6 as I normally do.

Open a new tab by hitting the + on the top

Go to your favorite site that you want to add.  Yes that was subliminal so you add InfoSec Monkey to your Top Sites 🙂

When you hoover of the URL bar, you will see another + appear.

Press and hold the + sign (1) and then click Top Sites (2).

And there you have it.
